Welcome to the Rural Schools Alliance
We’re a Teaching School partnership of Hampshire secondary schools based in rural communities. We support and develop our trainees in an inclusive environment so that they achieve personal excellence as teachers – an exciting, challenging and rewarding career.
Our trainees
We look for more than academic achievement in our trainees. The best teachers have the ability to engage, empathise and inspire. If you feel your enthusiasm, passion, patience and resilience enables you to get the most from those around you, and you strive for excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
Our schools
With the Rural Schools Alliance, you’ll be able to do your teacher training in schools in rural areas of Hampshire that are within an easily commutable distance from Fareham, Gosport, Hamble, Havant, Hythe, the New Forest, Petersfield, Portsmouth, Romsey, Southampton, Waterlooville, and Winchester.
Our course
We have a proven expertise and years of experience in successfully training new teachers and work with the University of Winchester to deliver our school-led ITE courses. You’ll be registered for the PGCE and on completion gain ECT status. You’ll be able to apply to register for the PGCE-M.
We wish you the very best for your future career as a teacher and if we can be of any help, such as answering your questions or arranging a day’s school experience, please get in touch.
Don't just take our word for it...
